What a nice Austrian wood-coated church just in front of your hotel window! No need to setup a wake up call at the reception, the bell tolls will be enough.

We stayed in Hof bei Salzburg during a rainy August weekend, when we chose Salzkammergut as the best location to try stand-up paddleboarding for the first time. Maybe because of the weather it wasn't the best in the end, but this part of Austria is always so beautiful and the towns and villages are so cosy.

Rooftops of the Reichstag. When in Berlin, you can't miss the parliament building of the Germany and especially free of charge visit to the dome on it's roof. I'm a big fan of architecture which combines modern and historic styles on a building and this one is even accompanied with a nice view. You just need to register for a specific time in advance online and go through rather thorough security check.

I've waited for this kebab in this line for almost three hours, it is allegedly the best kebab in Berlin. It was indeed the very best kebab I have ever had, and no, it was definitely not worth waiting... But it's not about the food, it's about the experience. After standing hungry and thirsty in the line, people around you suddenly become closer to you, as they are going through the same level of suffering. And that's when true kinships are bound.

It was my first time there and as I am usually more taken by nature than cities, the center felt just kinda okayish, but I must admit that when we got to some of the more hip parts, they had really nice vibe. And the number of super interesting restaurants and bistros from all over the world was amazing.

A wild lynx appears! Near Kvilda, there is a lynx enclosure and if you're lucky, you can see this mighty cat. We had to wait a while, because there was a group of screaming children and no wonder the lynx didn't want to show to them. But when they left, he came out from the hiding spot. Also the fact that there was a huge venison steak for him probably played a role 😃.

It was rather cold for the beginning of the July, but finally the weather improved and we could see the blue sky reflected in the waters of Roklanský potok, near Modrava, on the way to Tříjezerní slať.

There is quite large wolf enclosure in Šumava and there is a long wooden bridge above it, which you can walk on and observe the carnivores. But you have to be lucky for them to come out, we came there early in the morning and waited for 90 minutes only to see much smaller animals (forest bees, to be exact), so we left and came back in the evening when we finally got lucky. The wolves are beautiful.

Gsenget used to be a village directly on the border between Czechia and Bavaria, but all it's German inhabitants had to leave in 1945 and later even all of the buildings there have been destroyed, because of the erection of the Iron curtain. But you can still see remains of some walls. The nature around is stunning though, I went there for a little run from Prášily, didn't see a soul and enjoyed rather cold summer evening.

Šabachův Park in the heart of Dejvice district of Prague always surprises me how calm square it is. The renovation in the last year was rather successful I would say. It's my favorite spot to sit and eat ice-cream from nearby @cremedelacremeprague.

Lush green surroundings of the Savica waterfall which we visited on our last day in Slovenia. It was raining heavily and the woods around us were full of fog. It wasn't far from our hotel, so we didn't really care.

The northern side of Slovenian Alps doesn't have it's own Bled or Bohnij lake, so they created an artifical lake called Jasna, which serves people near Kranjska Gora as a summer and winter chilling spot, with beautiful views on the mountains and nice bars and cafes by the blue water. Typical statue of an patron animal of the lake is also a must.

The trail from Vršič pass was still under heavy and wet snow in late April so it wasn't suitable for any long trips without proper gear, but even though the weather was a bit gloomy, it still offered nice views over still sleeping mountains.

Russian Chapel under the Vršič pass in Slovenian Alps was built as a memory of Russian soldiers and prisoners who built the infrastructure around the pass during the WWI, as many of them died in the harsh conditions. It's quite small but you won't miss it, as there is only one road leading to the pass and it's quite distinguishable from any other church in the are for obvious reasons.

Lake Bohinj in Slovenian Alps is lesser known than

Lake Bohinj in Slovenian Alps is lesser known than it's bigger brother, Lake Bled, but I consider it much more beautiful and definately less crowded. To go around it, you just need to walk (or run as I did) 10 kilometers and I would definately recommend it for the views. Our holiday stay was also kind enough to borrow us a bike free of charge, so my girlfriend could follow me riding it.
